Aneurysm Disease
An aneurysm is a bulge in a blood vessel that can occur in many arteries in your body. The most common place is the abdomen. This is called an abdominal aortic aneurysm because the bulge occurs in the aorta, the main blood vessel from your heart that supplies blood to all of your organs. An aneurysm can grow until it bursts or ruptures – a life-threatening event.
