Physical Therapy

Physical therapy strengthens your muscles, keeps your joints flexible and helps you be as independently mobile as possible.

Saint Raphael’s physical therapists work with patients to help them recover from a variety of illnesses and injuries, including:

  • back or neck injuries
  • sprains and strains
  • tendonitis, bursitis, arthritis
  • fractures
  • joint replacements
  • amputations
  • stroke
  • multiple sclerosis
  • Parkinson’s disease

Through your physician’s referral, your physical therapy program — for both in-hospital and outpatient treatment –will be customized to your individual needs. State-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment, along with hands-on assistance from our licensed, professional staff will help you increase your body’s functional abilities. Your treatment plan may also include ultrasound, heat and/or cold treatment and electrical stimulation.
