About the Pharmacy The Hospital of Saint Raphael Department of Pharmacy Services is focused on delivering quality pharmaceutical care. Cardinal Health provides pharmacy management services. The pharmacy, staffed with about 25 pharmacists and 30 technicians, is open 24/7 and has two satellite locations. Among the department’s many services and features are: Computerized-provider order entry Decentralized Pyxis Profile® drug distribution USP 797 sterile products preparation Decentralized satellite locations Provision of drug information and consultation Outpatient Anticoagulation and Latent Tuberculosis Clinic Outpatient HIV Clinic Apothecary and Wellness Center (outpatient pharmacy) Pharmacists are involved in a variety of activities, including participation on patient care rounds, teaching, and committee work. The hospital’s Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee is supported by work of several subcommittees. These include Anesthesia, Cardiology, Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Radiology, Adverse Drug Events, and Drug Research Study. In addition, pharmacists manage an outpatient Anticoagulation Clinic and Latent Tuberculosis Clinic. Pharmacists also provide services to an outpatient Oncology Clinic and HIV Clinic.
