The Hospital of Saint Raphael offers a variety of services to meet the special needs of women – including hospital-based midwives. Our highly-trained, licensed nurse midwives – supported by Saint Raphael’s sophisticated healthcare team of gynecologists, obstetricians, perinatologists and neonatologists – provide a variety of birthing services and comprehensive gynecological care from adolescence through menopause.

The Branford Women’s and Children’s facility is supported by Saint Raphael’s sophisticated range of specialized services including: Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit offering special testing and care for high risk patients. Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) providing advanced care for premature babies as early as 28 weeks, state-of-the-art treatment including robotic gynecological surgery.

The Shelton medical practice offers state-of-the-art maternity, gynecology, and pediatric/adolescent services. Staffed with board-certified OB/GYN and pediatric physicians, it also provides trained midwives offering unique birthing experience and gynecological services.
