Emmi Demo

Emmi Demo

What is Emmi® online interactive patient education?

Emmi is a series of Web-based programs that make complex medical information easy for patients to understand. The programs use a soothing female voice, animation and east-to-read text, to help patients prepare for an upcoming procedure or manage a chronic condition.

Most Emmi programs take about 20 minutes to complete. Patients can view them as many times as they’d like and share them with friends and family.

Once you determine there an Emmi program that is right for a particular patient, you simply give the patient an access code and encourage them to go online to check out the appropriate program.

Why use Emmi programs?

– Reach patients and families at a time when they are ready to learn
– Answer questions and calm fears in a consistent, visual and interactive way
Supplement your current patient conversations

How Emmi programs work

Prescribe: Healthcare providers can prescribe an interactive multimedia Emmi program specific to procedure, condition or moment-in-care through a simple online tool called EmmiManager.

View: Patients view their secure, password-protected Emmi programs online, at home, at their own pace and as often as they’d like. Patients are encouraged to share their Emmi program with family and friends.

Document: Patient compliance is automatically tracked within EmmiManager.

Program topics

– Preparing for procedures
– Engaging programs guide patients through the entire procedure, from pre-op to post-op, risks and benefits to alternatives.

Managing chronic conditions
Targeted, moment-in-care programs help patients and their families understand and cope with diagnoses, chronic conditions and appropriate actions regarding their health.

Ensuring a safer patient experience
Interactive programs educate patients and providers on best practices in patient and medication safety. These programs also help healthcare providers align with the Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goals.
