Community Programs & Services
Caring for our community is a large part of Saint Raphael’s mission. And we demonstrate that caring in many ways. Here are just a few:
- Parish Nurses – working with community health resources
- School-Based Health Centers – The Hospital of Saint Raphael has two New Haven school-based health centers located at Troup Magnet Academy of Sciences and Barnard Environmental Magnet School.
- Project Brotherhood – cancer prevention, education and screening for men
- Project Eldercare – bringing health services home for seniors
- Project HOPE – helping women move from welfare to work
- Project MotherCare – our community health clinics serving women and children
- Sister to Sister – reaching out to African American women to help stop breast cancer
- Smiles to Go! – Saint Raphael’s dental clinic on wheels
- WIC – for women and children in need
In addition, Saint Raphael’s employees volunteer their time in a variety of community services and events. Read more about it at: Community Service & Stewardship.
