The Saint Raphael Foundation works to sustain and strengthen Saint Raphael?s ability to care for patients as the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth promised when they established the Hospital of Saint Raphael in 1907: 

To care for all in need, with respect, dignity, justice and excellence;
regardless of race, creed or color, and regardless of ability to pay . . .

The Sisters’ mission is lived out today through their continuing work, and through the hands and hearts of our nurses, physicians and other caregivers at the Hospital of Saint Raphael and the Sister Anne Virgine Grimes Health Center (formerly Saint Regis). It has been sustained by the generous donations of individuals and organizations who share our commitment to helping those in need.
