Saint Raphael's offers an innovative outreach program that helps young people see the reality of trauma injuries.
The program, "Let's Not Meet by Accident-It is Your Choice," is a two-hour session designed to show local high school students the consequences of drinking and driving, from the Emergency Department to the Intensive Care Unit. Directed by Trauma Nurse Coordinator Judy O'Connor, R.N., the program has reached more than 6,000 students since it began six years ago.
