The medical secretaries in the McGivney Center work as patient advocates,
contacting insurance companies for authorizations, pre-certifications and
referrals. They also help patients navigate the world of HMOs, conduct new
patient interviews, provide physician support and handle administrative tasks.
Valerie Kilmartin, a McGivney medical secretary since 1999, has been with the
Hospital since 1974.
Faye Glover has worked at the McGivney Center since 1995, starting at
the Hospital l in 1987.
Bibiane Roberts has a long history with Saint Raphael; she worked as a medical
transcriptionist from 1984-1996. Roberts returned to Saint Raphael's and joined
the staff of the McGivney center in 2002.
Susan Heffernan has been with Saint Raphael since 1978 and joined the McGivney
when the center opened in 1994.
