The purpose of this study is to determine whether stereotactic radiation therapy will improve outcomes over the standard treatment of surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.
Stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) is a non-invasive radiotherapy method which allows for the delivery of higher doses of radiation to the tumor in the brain while sparing most of the surrounding normal brain tissue. SRT does not require sedation or hospital admission.
This study is for patients with the Glioblastoma Multiforme type of brain cancer. This is a Phase III trial.
