HOIT Unit manager
Burdeen Camp, P.A.
The HOIT Unit is under the management of Burdeen Camp, P.A.,
who has worked with oncology patients since 1973. She is a
graduate of Yale University in New Haven and Clark University
in Worcester, Mass.
Camp earned her certification as a physician assistant in 1973
and has been an employee of the Hospital of Saint Raphael since
1983. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician
Assistants, American Cancer Society, Connecticut Oncology
Association and American Society of Clinical Oncology, as well
as a founding member of both the Connecticut Academy of Physician
Assistants and the Connecticut Physician Assistant Foundation.
Camp has been recognized professionally for her work several times,
including the 1996 Yale University Physician Associate Program
Distinguished Alumna Award. She has contributed to numerous
professional publications, often writing about chemotherapy and
infusion topics.
