Head and neck cancer follow-up care |
|
Due to the location of head and neck tumors and the discomfort that can come with treatment, some patients have difficulty eating and maintaining adequate nutrition. That's why nutrition counseling is made available through Saint Raphael's Looking Forward cancer support, wellness and education program. Also on hand to help patients cope with the emotional and physical aspects of a cancer diagnosis are speech therapists , physical therapists , pastoral care counselors, an integrative medicine coordinator, and many other specialized healthcare professionals, such as plastic surgeons.
