The Hospital of Saint Raphael has established the Seton Clinical
Excellence Award for nurses and patient care employees who embody
Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton's spirit of commitment and service to
others.
Three licensed (R.N.s and L.P.N.s) and three unlicensed (clinical
technicians, unit clerks, student nurse technicians and patient
service associates) staff members will be recognized quarterly.
Staff on inpatient care areas, the IV Team, ED, OR, Outpatient
Department, Short Term Surgery, GI Lab, HOIT/Radiation Oncology,
Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Radiology (Special Procedures)
are eligible.
The award is named for Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, who left a
legacy that includes American religious communities with hospitals
and schools in the United States. These include the Sisters of
Charity of Saint Elizabeth, the New Jersey religious order that
founded and sponsors Saint Raphael's.
