| As part of our commitment to the wellbeing of you and your loved ones, we offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and onsite child care. Our EAP is a counseling program designed to provide confidential assistance to employees and their dependents who are experiencing personal problems. The Child Care Center is designed to meet the day care needs of most employees with daytime shifts, accommodating children from 8 weeks to 5 years old.
Employee home ownership programs
Saint Raphael sponsors an Employee Neighborhood Home Ownership Program, which helps employees and enhances the neighborhood surrounding the Hospital. It provides financial assistance to qualified employees who want to buy and live in a one- to four-family home within Saint Raphael's neighborhood.
We are also a proud participant in "UR Home," a Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) program designed to encourage people to live in the same cities they work in. New Haven is one of 16 Connecticut urban communities participating in this two-year pilot program. "UR Home" offers qualified employees financial assistance to rehabilitate one- to four-family CHFA-approved homes in New Haven. Qualified employees can also receive low-interest loans from Saint Raphael's which can be used for down payment or mortgage closing costs.
