Melanie Albright, CNM, MSN

Melanie Albright, CNM, MSN has 26 years experience as a Nurse Midwife and several years experience as a nurse working on Obstetrics and Gynecology units. For 4 years Melanie was a nurse providing home care to critically ill children and served as a liaison between the medical community and parents. She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives and The Council of Childbirth Education Specialists Inc.

Nancy DeGennaro, CNM, MPH
Specialty: Nurse -Midwifery, Lactation Consultant, Childbirth Educator
Nancy DeGennaro, CNM, MPH comes to us with several years experience not only as a Nurse Midwife, but also, with many years experience as a staff nurse working in different areas of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She also has experience as a Perinatal Diabetes Nurse Specialist, Perinatal AIDS Research Nurse Coordinator and Special Procedure Nurse. Nancy holds Certifications in High Risk Obstetric Nursing and Electronic Fetal Monitoring by the National Certification Corporation and a Lactation Consultant Certification from the International Board of Certified lactation Consultants. She is a member of the Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Certified Nurse Midwives.

Erin Morelli, CNM, MSN received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Quinnipiac University in 2000 graduating Magna Cum Laude. She then went on to receive a Masters of Science in Nursing- Nurse Midwifery in 2002 from Yale University School of Nursing. Erin enjoys taking care of adolescent women and making the pregnancy and birth an empowering and family-centered experience for women and their families. Erin’s personal interests are traveling, cooking and spending time with her family.

Parvin Kasraian, CNM, MSN
Specialty: Nurse-Midwifery, Nursing, Diabetes Care and Management
Parvin Kasraian, CNM, MSN started her career as an Emergency Room Technician at Saint Raphael’s in 1989. Parvin then moved on to become a Research Assistant and Nurse at Yale New Haven Hospital. She recently came back to Hospital of Saint Raphael with several years experience as a Nurse Midwife managing approximately 120 births a year, and, as a member of the Yale School of Nursing Clinical Faculty which teaches clinical practice to Yale Midwifery students.

Stacy Smalley, CNM, MSN
Specialty: Midwifery
Stacy Smalley, CNM, MSN comes to the Center for Women’s Health and Midwifery with a background in music as well as nursing. In 1994 Stacy graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology and Music Performance. In 2002, she received a Master’s in Nurse-Midwifery from Yale University School of Nursing. Currently Stacy is member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, the New Haven Obstetrical Society and the New Haven Chamber Orchestra as a violoncellist. Stacy also enjoys participating in ballet, yoga and spinning in her free time.
