The Father Michael J. McGivney Center for Cancer Care was created to provide a new dimension in care to cancer patients and their families. As a progressive outpatient cancer treatment facility, the Center combines state-of-the-art technology and treatment with social, emotional, holistic, and spiritual support services.

Advanced technology with compassionate care

Our spacious facilities accommodate the latest advances in technology, medicine and techniques.  Saint Raphael's offers such advanced cancer treatments as the daVinci robot for specialized surgical procedures and the CyberKnife® Stereotactic Radiosurgery System to search and destroy tumors anywhere in the body without incision, pain, bodily invasion, anesthesia, or recovery time.

We provide patients and family members convenient access to a comprehensive array of services within one location.  The Center is focused on providing responsive, convenient and sensitive care. From the moment patients park in the dedicated area in front of the building, to the bright and comfortable reception area, to visiting their physician or receiving therapy in well-equipped and uniquely designed treatment rooms, the Center makes treatment easier and less stressful.

Expanding our supportive environment into the community with the Hamden cancer center in 2009

This supportive environment helps patients with their real priorities - getting healthy so they can get back to their families, careers, friends, and life.  In 2009, we will be expanding into the surrounding community when we  open the new Hamden Satellite Cancer Care Center.
