- Provide admission coordination and utilization review for inpatient psychiatric services. Act as liaison between unit service providers and insurance companies. Work in partnership with payors to ensure compliance with both hospital and payor requirements. Manage concurrent reviews, physician to physician reviews, and appeals of denied care. Review patient records, attend unit clinical discussions, meet with patients and interface with clinical staff. Carry caseload as part of clinical staff on the unit. Coordinate admissions in collaboration with ED, PCM and Medical Director. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or Nursing experience with adult psychiatric population and managed care required.
