- Attendance at deliveries of newborns and newborn resuscitation. Serve as primary care physician, management of infants being cared for in Newborn ICU and Well Baby nursery. Work with NICU Practitioners (Neonatal Resuscitation) to assess patient condition, determine appropriate care and prescribe medication. Work closely with team members to provide care to team and department patient panels. Participate in department projects, including QA, population and disease management. Successful completion of accredited Neonatology training program. Requires level of skill in order to perform the teaching mission of the department and participate in the training of pediatric residents, medical and PA students. THIS IS A PER DIEM POSITION.
