- Supervises the staff and operation of Radiology Patient Support Services. Ensures staffing coverage including holidays. Anticipates problems before they occur, and resolves problems and issues when they do occur. Functions as a technical expert in the use of Quadramed and Medipac. Works with staff to ensure the smooth registration, insurance verification, pre-authorization and scheduling of patients. Works with the Director in the creation and implementation of new policies and procedures. Performs other administrative and quality improvement responsibilities as needed. Associate's degree in Healthcare Management, related field or equivalent related experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years related experience in a healthcare setting including supervisory experience. Radiology billing, insurance, registration, scheduling and coding experience required. Knowledge of and skill in the use of Medipac and Quadramed or other comparable software programs. Knowledge of Medicare compliance in regard to Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN) and Medicare Secondary Payors (MSP). Knowledge of General Consent preferred. Excellent customer service, supervisory and communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology.
