- Reports to the Director of Materials Management. Responsible for a 7 day, 24 hour per day operation, scheduling and coverage of the Material Services Center, Nursing and Operating inventory control and replishmnet systems and personnel. Ensures that productivity reports are run, reviewed and acted upon. Ensures that all individuals are trained and cross-trained for a multitude of tasks. Determines equipment needs, pick-up and cleaning schedules of equipment. Works with and may supervise the Senior Buyer O.R. regarding inventory order replenishments, rotations, outdates, recalls, returns and new products. Performs diversified supervisory, budgetary, technical and computerized inventory control functions in accordance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies and in compliance with hospital policies, stand operating procedures, procedures and accepted practice. Four year degree in Business Administration or Computer Sciences. MBA Preferred. 3 to 5 years supervisory experience preferably in a hospital setting. Must demonstrate and be proficient in Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Office. Must be skillful in investigation of software and hardware failure in automated supply dispensing equipment such as Pyxis and or Omnicell.
